The Google Pixel 8 Pro, the company’s upcoming flagship device, appears to have been mistakenly leaked. Furthermore, it did so on its own website. On the same day that Apple revealed the debut date for the iPhone 15 series, the leak was discovered. Talk about opportunistic serendipity in consumer technology at its finest. Journalist Mishaal Rahman discovered the Pixel 8 Pro marketing render on the subscriptions page of the official Google Store website.
Distinctive Design Features
You may also make out a smartwatch in the image if you look closely; many believe this to be the Google Pixel Watch 2. The picture was promptly removed off the website, but not before it was seen by a few alert people and extensively circulated online. The Pixel 8 Pro with its white (also known as porcelain) finish is clearly visible, showing off its mirror-like glass back and camera island strip with a metallic sheen on top. The appearance is consistent with the leaked images, in which the Pixel 8 Pro’s obsidian black shade could be seen.
Instead of the pill-plus-hole aesthetics we saw on the Google Pixel 7 Pro, the distinctive design feature this time seems to be the oval lens cutout that resembles a cyclops. The other components of the construction, such as the rounded corners and glass-sandwich shape, are well known.
Google Pixel 8 Pro Leak Reveals New Exclusive Feature!
‘Husky’ to debut soon
The Pixel 8 Pro, reportedly in development under the code name “husky,” is planned to make its debut this fall on October 4 at an event. I won’t be shocked, though, if Google provides a better look at the device and a few of its main features before the debut. That is, officially. It wouldn’t be unexpected if the Pixel 8 received the same prelaunch soft reveal treatment that the business has been doing in recent years.
The third-generation Tensor G silicon, which will be based on the 3nm technology and be the same as Apple’s planned A17 Bionic processor slated for the next iPhone, is expected to power the Pixel 8 Pro’s 6.7-inch OLED display.
Additionally, there will be some camera upgrades, with the ultrawide camera receiving a 64-megapixel sensor upgrade. Also being discussed are an improved time-of-flight sensor and a thermal sensor, both of which are visible behind the LED flash module. The alleged Pixel Watch 2 in the photograph appears to be thinner, with a creamy-colored band rather than white, and also has a slightly different rotating crown. However, it can also be because of the particular camera angle and the ambient illumination.
